Introduction

Welcome to Photography II! This course will build upon the knowledge you gained in Photography I and continue to explore the medium of photography to create art.

Module Lessons Preview

In this module, we will study the following topics:

Gathering Supplies: In this lesson you’ll have to make some choices about how you will complete the lessons in the course.  You will determine what supplies will be needed, gather, and record them in your VVJ.

Culture, Art & Context: What is art? Examine well-known photographs through the lens of culture. 

Critiquing Photography: Review the method for formal art criticism and critique a well-known photograph. 

Careers in Photography: Research careers in photography and present your findings.

By the end of this module you will have a plan and the supplies needed to successfully complete the projects in the course.  You will be familiar with well-known photographs and their context in culture and art.  You will critique a photograph based on a set of criteria, and you will research a specific career in photography.
