MEP - Motivation, Emotion, and Personality Module Overview
Module Overview
Introduction
Do you ever wonder why some people are more motivated than others? Or why do we experience certain emotions in response to certain situations? Motivation and its relationship with nature and nurture will be explored in the first half of this module. Next, we will explore emotion. Have you ever wondered whether you cry because you feel sad or if you cry because you feel sad? Our investigation of arousal, cognition, and emotion will address this question, among many others.
Finally, we'll discuss Personality, a fascinating subject that has puzzled scientists and researchers for decades. It is possible to characterize our actions, behaviors, and thoughts in many ways, which is why psychologists study enduring traits that aid in understanding our personalities. Sigmund Freud, for example, has contributed widely to understanding personality, which we will explore in this module. Additionally, you will examine various personality assessments and evaluate their validity by applying them to your own life.
As a result of this module, you will have a thorough understanding of what motivates human cognition and behavior, the major theories of emotion, and how personality traits are studied and explained. Come along with us on this exciting journey of self-discovery and exploration!
