Introduction

Developmental Psychology is an awesome unit! Why? Because you have been developing and will continue to develop your entire life! So, what this means is this unit directly applies to you!! From the moment you were conceived the interaction of nature and nurture began! Even in prenatal development, who you would turn out to be was already being determined. Infancy and childhood are chapters in your life book and now as an adolescent you are deciding the storyline of future chapters. And like all books, good or bad, life ends. Developmental Psychology highlights the entire path and provides considerable evidence that has impacted child-rearing practices, curriculum in education, career satisfaction, and so much more.
