Nonfiction Text Study
Introduction
Diaries. Letters. Memoirs. Autobiographies. These are just some of the genres within the world of nonfiction. Throughout this module, you will learn more about these genres and the writers who are known for their nonfiction works. After a study of the different types of nonfiction, you will choose from a list of authors who have built their careers writing nonfiction works. Your work in the module will center on a text by your chosen author.

- Explain the style of an author’s writing
- Compose an argument using a nonfiction text as support
- Analyze the rhetoric in a piece of nonfiction
