CAW: Lesson - Communicate, Collaborate, and Celebrate
Communicate, Collaborate, and Celebrate
Remember that in the universe of Computer Science (CS), things not going right or being perfect is normal, expected, and sometimes celebrated. Celebrated? Yes, many times in our quest for success in CS we discover solutions to other challenges, shortcuts, or we are sparked by inspiration to create/innovate for the greater good; all are great reasons to celebrate. Those scenarios usually result in a win-win situation in which we learn, we grow, and we share.
A familiar adage states: “If I hear it, I forget. If I see it, I remember. If I do it, I know (understand).”
Learning Through Collaboration
You now know and understand more about how to create and edit using HTML from these lessons. It is imperative to gain knowledge through one’s direct experiences. It is equally important to learn from the experience of others. Communicating and collaborating with others provides an enriching opportunity to hear and understand diverse perspectives. Our ability to listen and understand diverse perspectives can literally be a life saver, a time saver, and a money saver.
Knowing and understanding your audience's needs for a good website vs. a great website and how to deliver your best first impression is invaluable. Collaborating with other developers who can share their perspectives on market specific designs and shortcuts for impactful web design is also invaluable. Never forget to take time to communicate, collaborate, and celebrate!
