Graphic design is embedded in our daily lives. For example, examine this webpage you are currently reading. Do you notice how lines are being used? Does the page seem balanced? Notice any shapes? Have we used color appropriately and consistently? This very webpage has been designed with you in mind.

Graphic Design is a diverse career field that offers a nontraditional approach to success. With seemingly endless opportunities to freelance full-time or part-time, success is determined by one’s ability to communicate visually with words, pictures, shapes, lines, etc.

Types of Graphic Design

What comes to mind when you hear the phrase Graphic Design? As mentioned above, it is a diverse field, but there are a few specific types that we will explore in this module. Our focus is on digital design, so with that in mind, let's talk about a few types of graphical design that are done digitally:
