FSR - The Stock Market Lesson

The Stock Market

Introduction

This lesson will introduce the Stock Market. What is it exactly? Watch the video below to see more about how the Stock Market works!

The stock market is constantly fluctuating. One day your stocks may be at a great price, and the next – not so much. It’s a good practice to look at the trends over time rather than the price change every day. There are charts and activity logs that are available that give you all the information that you need. However, they may not always be easy to understand. In this lesson, we’ll take a look at the daily activity of stocks and the information that they offer.

Stock Charts

There are a lot of different numbers when dealing with stocks. What was the highest price? What was the lowest? The open? The close? This makes for charts full of data that might be hard to look at. Instead of listing the stock data, we can use charts to give a more visual way of seeing the data. The two that we will learn in this lesson are stock bar charts and stock candlestick charts.

Visual Stock Bar Chart

Stock data can be displayed in a Stock Bar Chart. Look at the visual below and watch the video to learn how to interpret these graphs.
