Second Inversion Triad
Here is a chord in root position. You see the chord's root 'C" is in the lowest voice.
Here the chord is inverted to where the 3rd of the triad is in the lowest voice and as we have learned in the previous lesson, this is called first inversion.
Let's invert the chord again.
Now, the fifth is the lowest note of the chord. This is called second inversion.
Let's invert the chord one more time. Notice that the triad returns to root position.
