(TAE) Emergency Action Steps Lesson Four

Emergency Action Steps

Check-Call-Care

  • It takes from 5 - 10 minutes for the Emergency Medical Services (paramedics) to arrive if you are in a city.
  • It takes less than 5 minutes for an infant to die because he is not breathing. There are too many stories of a parent who is holding their choking infant in their arms and watching them die because they do not know what to do.

YOU must take quick action and know what to do. You need to follow the emergency procedures: CHECK, CALL, CARE.
