Planning a Healthy Diet Lesson
Planning a healthy and well balanced diet is essential to living a long, productive life. Many people live a long time but often their quality of life is not desirable. There is a direct link between diet and disease. To live the best life possible, individuals must feed the body correctly. A healthy diet consists of a well-balanced lifestyle incorporating many servings of fruits and vegetables along with low fat dairy, healthy protein sources, and several servings of healthy whole grains. Of course, everyone needs a little fat in their diet, so choose healthy fats like avocado, nuts, olive oils and vegetable oils.

Interact with the presentation below to learn more about the food groups and the recommended portions.
