Developers in the real world use a systematic process called the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure the product meets the needs of the end user and for quality control. In this module you will be able to describe the typical stages in the software development life cycle analyze different models used in industry. Later you will apply one of these models in designing your own game or app in future modules.

Prototyping - A prototype is a draft version of a product that allows you to explore your ideas and show the intention behind a feature or the overall design concept to users before investing time and money into development.
Software Application Life Cycle - The Software Application Life Cycle, also known as Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), a series of steps, or phases, that provide a model for the development and life cycle management of an application or piece of software.
Software Development Models - The software development models are the various processes or methodologies that are being selected for the development of the project depending on the project's aims and goals. There are many development life cycle models that have been developed in order to achieve different required objectives. The models specify the various stages of the process and the order in which they are carried out.
