Usability and Principles of Design
A well-designed product is accessible to users of all abilities, including those with low vision, blindness, hearing impairments, cognitive impairments, or motor impairments. Accessibility enhances the usability for all users.
Principles of Good Design
1) Visibility - can you tell what to do just by looking?
2) Good conceptual model - consistent presentations of operations and results
3) Good mappings - user has sense of what will happen with each action
4) Feedback - full and continuous feedback of actions
In addition to good design, the app should be accessible. Accessibility refers to making the app more usable to people with disabilities. An accessible design allows users of all abilities to navigate, understand, and use your UI successfully.
