There are so many important battles and leaders in the American Revolution that the information is best condensed into an interactive format.

But remember:  Back in the day, the warriors went into winter encampment in late October/early November and did not typically fight again until early May. The waterways froze in the fall and made transportation of troops, weapons, and supplies impossible—the waterways were the 18^th century highways, and the roads were impassable til early spring (May in New England) when the roads became dry enough to move a lot of people and supply lines after the spring thaw. This meant that they could only fight (in most circumstances) from early May through the end of October.
