There are positives such as social networking, exposure to or the influencer of new innovations, integration of businesses with consumers, and e-learning. There are also threats such as cybercrimes, cyberbullying, and breach of privacy.

Digital media has brought many advantages to our lives. One of the biggest advantages is the ability to interact with people online. It facilitates social interaction and connects people across distances faster via mobile phones and other technological devices. The social impact of digital media has resulted in different outcomes --  some positive and others challenging.

On the positive side:

On the negative side are a range of social impacts:

• cybercrime

These may cause some to re-think their relationship with digital and social media. Let’s take a look at some of these.
