The World Wide Web (WWW) may be one of the top technological innovations created by man. A British scientist named Tim Berners-Lee developed the World Wide Web in 1989. The original purpose of the web was to provide automatic information-sharing between scientists in universities to other institutions globally. Berners-Lee’s company in 1993 made the World Wide Web’s software public domain. Soon after its release, tech companies began expanding on the software.
