PORT - E-Portfolio Sections [LESSON]
ePortfolio Sections
Your ePortfolio provides a visible representation of your student learning and other activities and is a great way to document learning. Doing so is helpful when you are applying for a job but do not have a lot of professional experience. Creating additional sections to market your abilities and skills is recommended. The learning object below highlights common sections that are typically included in ePortfolios.
It is not necessary to have each of the listed sections in the learning object, but a career portfolio should have the Welcome section/page, the Career Objective/Profile section/page, a Resume or Employment Documents section/page, a Coursework/Artifacts section/page and the Community Service and Volunteer Activities section/page. The remaining sections or pages will be determined by your specific activities and experiences. In this course we are creating our portfolio as a website, which is very common, therefore instead of folders or sections, each area will be a page of the website. You can have additional information and pages if you have additional experience that is relevant to the job or career you are pursuing.
