GUI Editors
Introduction
In this module, you will be learning how to use Graphical User Interface editors (GUI editors). Up until now, we have used text editors to create our websites. All web developers need to know HTML and CSS coding and how to use text editors. However, those that don't create websites for a living can use GUI editors, which are simpler to use. In this module, you'll learn how to use GUI editors to create your sites, how to add web pages and navigation elements to your sites, designing for creating your sites, adding images to your sites, and how to create image maps.

Key Terms
Behavioral Segmentation | Divides the market into groups according to how they behave with or toward products.
Blog | A website where you share your thoughts, hobbies, interests, etc.
Business Site | A website for a business to give information or support for the business.
Customer Profile | The specific customer that is your ideal customer (viewer) for the site.
Demographic Segmentation | Segmenting buyers by tangible, personal characteristics such as their age, income, ethnicity, family size, and so forth.
E-commerce | A website used to sell things online.
Event Site | A site used to either invite people to an event or to give event information.
Firmographic Segmentation | Dividing the market up by business characteristics, such as size, location, revenue, or industry.
Geographic Segmentation | Dividing the market by where consumers live.
Hamburger Menu | The 3 lines at the top corner of a website that has a dropdown menu.
Hotspot | The areas of an image that are clickable.
Image Format | The file format for images such as .gif, .jpg, .png, etc.
Image Map | An image on a website that is clickable to allow a link to a different location.
Informational Site | A website used to convey information to the user.
Logo | The image that identifies a company.
Market Segmentation | Dividing the market into categories such as: behavioral, geographic, demographic, psychographic, and firmographic.
Marketing Concept | Satisfying a customer's needs and wants to make a profit.
Navigation Bar | The list of web pages in the site.
Portfolio | A website where you can share information about yourself and display your work.
Positioning | Developing a site that will influence the target market to think positively about your site and want to use it for its purpose.
Psychographic Segmentation | Dividing the market based on buyers' activities, interests, opinions, attitudes, values, and lifestyles.
Site folder | The folder that contains all the documents for a website. It is also called a root folder.
Target Marketing | The segment of a total population on which a business focuses its expertise to satisfy that submarket to accomplish its profit objectives.
