When Humans and Computers Interact

Artificial Intelligence has sparked the debate about humans vs AI. In an effort to create more intelligent machines, algorithms are designed to teach machines to learn on their own and make decisions in the same way that humans do.

How exactly does AI work? AI relies on patterns and features in the data set and analyzes them by combining large data sets with intelligent, iterative processing algorithms. Every time an AI system processes data, it tests and measures its performance and gains new knowledge.

Forbes provides a simple comparison Between Human Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence. See article below.

More on Human Superiority

Apart from thinking logically, human brains are capable of more than just logically processing information. Here are a couple of additional fundamental reasons why no machine will ever be able to compete with humans:

  • Sensory Data- Humans constantly use all five of our senses. No robot will ever be able to replicate all of these senses. AI will only be useful for information processing.
  • Creativity- A machine can be trained to behave like you, but it cannot be trained to develop a personality.

So based on your knowledge acquisition this lesson, Machines or Humans?

Recent AI developments and achievements are more closely related to human intelligence than ever before. However, machines are still far beyond what human brains are capable of. What distinguishes humans is our ability to apply acquired knowledge with logic, reasoning, understanding, learning, and experience. Although machines can mimic human behavior to some extent, their knowledge may fall apart when making rational decisions like ours. In the human vs AI debate, it is not deniable that AI has made our lives easier in many ways and is only getting better. But AI systems have no concept of cause and effect.

Without humans, no machine can survive.
