Key Terms

Digital citizenship: The appropriate and responsible use of the internet, computers, and digital devices.

Private information: Information about you that can be used to identify you because it is unique to you (e.g. your full name or your address).

Phishing: When someone poses as an institution, such as a bank or school, and sends you a personalized message asking you to provide private information.

Digital Wellness: The pursuit of an intentional and healthy relationship with technology, both in the workplace and in personal life.

Digital Divide: The gap between those individuals with and without access to computers and internet connection.
