Whether you realize it or not, you are a leader.  You influence individuals by the way you conduct yourself.  This assignment will allow you the opportunity to develop a leadership development action plan to access your strengths and weaknesses as a leader.  Create a plan of action that will prepare you to become a well-rounded leader.  Your action plan should include the following.

  1. Short-term and Long-term Goals - Your goals should be S.M.A.R.T.  Access the Writing S.M.A.R.T. goals resource from the Learn More Resources in the sidebar to assist you in constructing your goals.
  2. Career and Technical Student Organization. Indicate a career and technical education student organization that would benefit you in developing your leadership skills .
  3. List of actions - Include a list of the actions you need to take to achieve your goals.
  4. Organize your list into a plan.  Determine the order of your action steps and utilize word processing software or a presentation program to create the final version of your action plan.  Access the Images for Action Plans resource from the Learn More Resources in the sidebar to view examples of action plans to assist you in completing the assignment.
