Career Pathways Module Wrap Up

Review Summary

The steps to finding a career begin with knowing your values and yourself. It is important that you understand your strengths and weaknesses, your passions and fears, and that you discover and identify your skills when seeking a career. Once you know yourself, you will need to research both the careers that interest you and what it takes to get there. When you have made a career choice, you can then tie your training to your career.

Georgia recognizes seventeen distinct career clusters, one more than the U.S. Department of Education. This course is the introductory course to six pathways within two career clusters. The Business Management and Administration Career Cluster includes the pathways of Business and Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Management. The Finance Career Cluster includes the pathways of Advanced Accounting, Business Accounting, and Financial Services. Students who complete a pathway will take an end of pathway assessment which will lead to an industry recognized certification.
