Success Motivation International founder, Paul J. Meyer stated: "Communication – the human connection – is the key to personal and career success." Communication, in fact, is the basis of all relationships, personal and professional. Developing excellent communication skills is essential to becoming a leader. The key word is "developing." Great communication skills are not something you are born with, rather they are skills that are learned and expanded. In the business world, good communication facilitates the transfer of knowledge between employees making the business more efficient. That efficiency translates into better profits for the company. You may have brilliant ideas, but if you cannot effectively communicate these ideas with clarity and enthusiasm, your brilliant ideas may not get you far.
