In the last unit, we examined the importance of ethics and professionalism in Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security fields. In this unit, we are going to explore the purpose of Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response Teams. In an emergency, what resources are available to avoid a crisis situation? Responders need to have critical skills in order to function effectively. Let's dive in and take a look at some of the roles and responsibilities required to operate successful emergency management teams.
