As you are reviewing, keep these essential questions in mind:
- What was the context in which the religious, political, and cultural developments of the 16th and 17th centuries took place?
- How and why did religious beliefs and practices change from 1450 to 1648?
- How were matters of religion influenced by political factors from 1450 to 1648? How were they influenced by these political factors in the same era?
- What were the continuities and changes in the role of the Catholic Church from 1450 to 1648?
- How did economic and intellectual developments from 1450 to 1648 affect social norms and hierarchies? How did life change? How did it stay the same?
- How and why artistic expression change from 1450 to 1648?
- How did the religious, political, and cultural developments of the 16th and 17th centuries affect European society from 1450 to 1648?
