Indentured Servants

Greetings!

We have arrived to our final day of our research project on roles in colonial America. Today, we focus on indentured servants. They are not all that different from slaves in their lack of rights. What is different, though, is that indentured servants were committed to a lengthy–but temporary–work contract, whereas slaves were bought and sold at auction, being committed to a lifetime of servitude.
