Human Interaction With The Environment

Introduction

What are our responsibilities to the environment?  We compared our responsibilities at home and at school.  But what happens when we interact with the environment?  Do we as humans have a good or bad interaction with the environment?  Today, let's explore how we can have an impact on the environment.  We will watch a video about kids who are helping the environment by reducing waste in their school.

Grab your social studies journal, think about the following questions, and jot some notes as you view the video.

How can we become active citizens to protect the environment for the good of all citizens?

What other kinds of things can we do for the common good?

After watching the video, do you think you could sort items into recycle and compost bins like the students?  Try your best and help the environment!
