Introduction

Hello boys and girls. Today we are going to continue with our research writing.  Last time we learned about elephants.  Today we are going to learn about turtles.  We are going to read about turtles and put the information on our graphic organizer.  Watch the video below.

Boys and girls, remember that a sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark.  Read the sentences below.  If the sentence is written with a capital letter and punctuation mark, place it under correct sentence.  If it is not written correctly, place it under incorrect sentence.  


Assignment

Boys and girls, you are going to read about alligators.  I want you to find out what alligators  look like, eat, live, and any other interesting facts.  Record your information on the graphic organizer or create your own.

  1. Print the graphic organizer.pdf Download graphic organizer.pdf or create your own.
  2. Print or read the information about Alligators.pdf Download Alligators.pdf 
  3. In each section of the graphic organizer, write down what alligators look like, what they eat, where they live, and another fun fact.
  4. Take a picture of your finished graphic organizer.
  5. Make sure to keep your graphic organizer for the next writing assignment.
