Hello boys and girls. You have written about topics that you know a lot about.  Today you are going to start doing research.  Research is when you read nonfiction books to learn about a topic.  Today we are going to learn about lions.  Watch the video below to learn how to get started on your research.

Boys and girls, let’s identify sentences.  Read each sentence and decide if it is a complete sentence or an incomplete sentence.  If it’s a complete sentence, click true.  If it is not a complete sentence click false.

 

Assignment

Boys and girls, you are going to read about lions.  I want you to find out what the lion looks like, eats, lives, and any other interesting facts.  Record your information on the graphic organizer or create your own.

  1. Print the graphic organizer Download graphic organizer or create your own.
  2. Print or read Lions information sheet. Download Lions information sheet.
  3. In each section of the graphic organizer, write down what a lion looks like, what they eat, where they live, and another fun fact.
  4. Take a picture of your finished graphic organizer and upload to Canvas.
  5. Make sure to keep your graphic organizer for the next writing assignment.
