Introduction

Hello boys and girls.  Today we are going to read a story about Tim who is looking for a box.  Then we will discuss who the character is and what the problem and the solution is in the story.

Students, remember when we retell stories, we always tell the story in the order that it happens.  We use the words first, next, then, and last.  Tell how we would make a snowman by clicking and dragging the pictures under the words first, next, then, and last.

Assignment

Students, record yourself reading the story “Tim and the Box.”  Then tell who the character is and what the problem was in the story.  Then tell me how he solved his problem and what happened at the end.  

  1. Record yourself reading “Tim and the Box” from the slides below.
  2. Tell the character, problem, solution, and ending.
