Introduction

We have learned so much over these last few weeks. We have learned about our country, its symbols and buildings, and we learned about some of the people who helped make it great. We have finished our learning while looking into the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. We’ve discussed who he was and why he was important to our country. Today, we will discuss one more holiday. It’s a holiday that celebrates a great man. It’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Let’s go learn about the holiday and why we celebrate it!
