Introduction

This week we are going to connect soil sorting to plants!  In our first module, we learned about living and nonliving things and how plants and animals can be grouped together.  Plants are living things.  Do all plants need soil to live?  There are some soils that are better for plants than others.  We can group plants by where they grow.  Let’s explore plants one more time and how they are grouped together by where they grow.  We will start with forest plants!
