🔵Day 11 Grouping Organisms

Grouping organisms (Day 11)

Introduction

This week we are going to review some of our science concepts and focus on ways that we can group organisms.  If you see a dog, a cat, and a goldfish, can you group these together?  Sure!  We can say that all these animals can be house pets.  We can also group animals by their body coverings.  If we looked at a picture of a bear, a cat, and a dog, they have fur which means they have the same body covering.  Animals can be grouped together by where they live, how they move, what color they are, what their body covering is, and much more.  Today we will look at how we can group organisms by their body coverings.  Animals can have scales, fur, feathers, or even be slimy.  Even some animals that look really similar, can have differences, like alligators and crocodiles.
