Introduction

Let’s review decomposing or breaking apart.  Let’s think about when you might decompose a group at home.  If you have 10 cars and seven are yellow how many would be another color?  Three!  We know this because decomposing 10 would require seven and three.  Today you will draw a picture that decomposes a group.  Write a sentence that matches the decomposition of the number.
