🔺Day 4: Understanding Subtraction
Day 4: Understanding Subtraction
Introduction
We have learned that addition means to join or put two groups together and that subtraction means to take a group apart or separate a group. We can use subtraction to tell how many are left after some are taken away. It can tell us how many more one group has than another group. How will you use subtraction today? In your video today, you will review a story problem and then think about the problem that you will solve on your own in your math journal. When you solve the problem today, try to use a strategy that you haven’t used before.
