Day 16: Numerals 11-20

Introduction

Last week we worked with numbers eleven through fifteen. We counted up to fifteen objects and made a set.  We learned that these are teen numbers and they are composed of a ten and some ones.  Let's work on sixteen today.  Sixteen is the number after fifteen.  There are one ten and six ones in a group of sixteen.  We count to sixteen like this:  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16.  After watching the video today, practice writing the numeral 16 and making a set of sixteen objects in your math journal.
