Introduction

We can use shapes in patterns, too!  Just like numbers, shapes can be arranged in repeating units.  An example of a shape pattern is triangle, square, circle, triangle, square, circle.  What would the next unit in the pattern of shapes be?  Yes!  It would be triangle, square, circle!  Today we will work with shape patterns.

In your math journal: Practice making shape patterns.  Make as many different patterns with shapes as you can.  Share your patterns.
