Day 6: Sorting and Classifying

Introduction

Yesterday we began working on sorting objects.  Sometimes sorting objects can make it easier to find what you are looking for.  For example, if you sort your toys when you clean up after playing, it can be easier to find what you are looking for when you go to play with your toys again.  If you don’t, then it may take a long time to find what you want to play with.  We will work on sorting again today.

Assignment

Find different objects that are the same in some ways but different in other ways.  You might find vehicles, and sort them by trucks, cars and planes.  You might find dolls and sort them by their hair color or even blocks and sort them by their shape, size or color.  Share your sort on Flip.
