Day 1: Identify and Describe Shapes

Introduction

What does it mean to describe something?  If someone does not know what your home looks like, you can describe it to them.  You would tell them what it looks like using words.  You can describe shapes by how many sides the shape has and how similar it is to other shapes.  3-D shapes have faces and vertices and 2-D shapes have sides and angles.  We will work on describing shapes this week using their similarities and their differences.
