Introduction

After seventeen, is the number eighteen.  When we count to eighteen, we will have one group of ten and eight ones.  We can write it as a numeral and a word.  We can make a set of 18 things.  Let's practice counting up to 18.  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18.  In your math journal, practice writing the numeral 18, a one and an eight.  Then draw eighteen objects.
