Day 17: Addition and Subtraction Review

Introduction

Yesterday we reviewed addition or combining two groups.  We add groups together to get a new total.  We can add groups of objects, amounts, and money.  Even when we cook, we may need to add quantities or amounts of ingredients.  Today we will review addition by using word problems!  You will need your math journal to show your work in solving the addition word problems.  Can you create your own story or word problem?  Think of an addition story problem and share it with your family.
