Day 11: All About Counting (forward, backward, and counting on)
Introduction
This week we will continue to work on counting. We will review counting backward from 20, counting by tens and ones up to 100, counting on, and understanding that the last number counted represents the total quantity in a set. When we count, you can go forward or backward. When we count backward from twenty, remember that we start at 20 and then go to zero. It would go like this: 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. You can do this with a set of objects, too. If I have 20 objects and take one away, I would have 19. Take another one away and I would have 18. And so on.
