🔵Day 11: Patterns All Around

Day 11: Patterns All Around

Introduction

This week we will start to work on creating patterns.  A pattern is a set or unit that repeats.  Over the last few weeks we have worked on sorting objects, and this is the first step to making a pattern.  To start a pattern, you would need to understand the similarities and differences in objects.  If we had blue and red insects, we could sort them into their groups and then create a pattern.  It might look like this:  red, blue, red, blue, red, blue.  The unit of the pattern is red and blue, and the pattern would repeat that set or unit over and over.  Today you will watch a video about patterns and then practice making a copy of a pattern that is provided for you.
