🔵 Day 14: Compare Numbers 0-5

Day 14: Compare Numbers 0-5

Introduction

This week we have learned about comparing numbers and sets from 0 to 5.  When we compare sets or groups, we use certain words like more than, greater than, less than, fewer than, equal to, or the same as to describe their relationships.  You might eat dinner with your family and say something like, ‘I have more chicken nuggets than my sister.’ or ‘My sister has more chicken nuggets than me; may I have more?'

Introduction of Activity

In this activity, you will review more than, less than, and equal to.   Each box will have a word to describe the groups.  You will be comparing chocolate chip cookies to sugar cookies.  If the chocolate chip cookies are more than the sugar cookies in a set, they will go to the more than box.  If the chocolate chip cookies are less than the sugar cookies, they will go to the less than box, and if the chocolate chip cookies and the sugar cookies are the same, they will go to the equal box.
