Tomorrow we will be taking our quiz on similes and metaphors. To practice, please make a copy of SNOW: Similes and Metaphors. Links to an external site.

Using your knowledge of similes and metaphors, write nonliteral comparisons to snow in the blanks provided.

Figurative language - 
alliteration - the repetition of consonant sounds
assonance - the repetition of vowel sounds
metaphor - direct comparison without using like or as
simile - comparison using like or as
personification - giving something NOT human, human characteristics
onomatopoeia - sounds
hyperbole - large exaggeration
