Introduction

When we are writing narratives, we want to include dialogue! It is important because it can:

1. Develop characters

2. Move your plot forward

3. Establish a backstory

4. Reveal important details

5. Create relationships with characters

6. Establish the mood

7. Set an atmosphere for the scene

Watch the video to learn more and make sure that you include dialogue in your narratives.

Phone (2).png READING

Introduction

Hey reader! This week, we will be combining writing and reading together so we can use what we read to successfully answer questions.

Yesterday, we reminded ourselves how to make inferences. Today, we are going to learn that we can use text evidence to help support those inferences. When reading and writing, we often have to cite our evidence in order to prove our answers.

In Your Notebook: Using this picture and your inference skills, write a narrative about this person! Remember narratives need to have story elements, which includes characters, settings, plot (problem/solution), and dialogue. Today is your last day to complete this narrative. When you are finished, submit your google document
