GRAMMAR
Sentence Structure
Introduction
Hi grammarians! Today we will discuss what makes a sentence... a sentence!
A sentence must have to two parts: a subject and a predicate. A sentence is a complete idea.
There is always either a noun or a pronoun. That is the subject.
There is always a verb. This may be an action verb or a linking verb (refer to our previous lessons for a reminder on linking verbs). The verb is the predicate.

READING
Summarizing Nonfiction Texts
Introduction
Hi readers! Today we will be discussing nonfiction summaries.
Summaries are used when we want to know about the whole text, but in a few short sentences. Summarizing helps us understand what we read as we read it!
