Time, Change, and Continuity

Introduction

Hi Third Grade Friends.  We are going to become historical detectives and explore how changes happen over time.  Today, you will practice thinking about events over time by putting the events below in order. Then you will start your own personal timeline and work on this over the next few days.

My Personal Timeline

This project will be completed over the course of several days.

Let's make a timeline about how you have changed over time.

Today we will work on Step 1. 

Step 1

You will identify 5 important dates from your life

The first event will be, "I was born"

The fifth event will be, "I am in the third grade"

For your other 3 events, you can choose from the following events or add your own: 

I learned to ride a bike.

I had my 2nd birthday.

I started Kindergarten.

I went on vacation.

I learned how to tie my shoe.

Jot these landmark events down in your social studies journal in the order in which they happened.
