Day 17 Production, Distribution, and Consumption
Introduction
Hi Third Grade Friends! Today let's review the terms production, distribution, and consumption. And then we will take a look at how these terms apply to you and how you live.
Video/Visual
Review the definition of the terms production, distribution, and consumption.
Task
Grab your Social Studies journal and letโs take a walk around your house.
๐ Step 1: Make a list of at least five goods that are around.
๐ค Step 2: Then using what we have learned, see if you can find out where the item was produced, where it was distributed from, and who could be a possible consumer.
Take a look at this example to help you:
Good (the item): Carrots and Broccoli
Producer (who made it): A Local Farm
Distributor (who sold it to you): Publix (the grocery store)
Consumer (who used or consumed it): Since I do not like carrots or broccoli, the consumers would be my mom and my sister.
