We will be spending this module looking into our first career pathway. We will also explore the benefits of knowing a second language in this particular workforce. What are some government or law professions in today's world? While many have been around for centuries, such as law enforcement or politics, there are also newer careers to explore, such as Wildlife Rescuer, Defense Engineer, or Consumer Safety Inspector.

There are several careers in this pathway that would ultimately require the knowledge of a second language, such as a Border Patrol Officer, or a Foreign Service Officer. We will explore these fields more in-depth over the next several days at the same time that we build on our language skills. As your skills continue to develop in all areas: reading, writing, and speaking, you'll experience overall improvement. Practice in these areas is the key to language learning.

  1. What are possible careers in government and law?  
  2. What are the differences between the words "por" and "para?"  
  3. What are the differences between the verbs "ser" and "estar?" 
  4. How do we use interrogatives in Spanish to form question phrases?
