Analysis of organic evidence is an integral part of Forensic Science. Whether it is blood, saliva or even analysis of drugs such as Marijuana, Forensic Scientists rely upon these methods in order to identify and confirm the identity of various substances found in crime scenes. The methods vary and have differing advantages, so it is important that the Forensic investigator choose the appropriate analytical technique in order to yield useful identifications and confirmations.
